    GEORGIANS - GREAT NEWS!

I just called Senator Chambliss' metro Atlanta office to urge him to vote no on cloture on the hideous amnesty bill.

I was told by the man who answered the phone that as of this past Friday, Senator Chambliss intends to vote NO on cloture!!! He wants more time for amendments to be brought up and for everyone to have their say!

This is good news, and I will follow up with a phone call today to reinforce this stand. I'm going to add that it's a good effort, but amendments to this bill are not going to make it go down any easier with the American people.

Good boy! What does he mean he wants more amendments to be made first? The only thing that needs to be done is this bill tossed in the dumpster and then go back and ENFORCE OUR LAWS...DEPORT...ENFORCE OUR LAWS!! Gosh, how hard is it to understand???
Just your ordinary, average, everyday, American mom!

I agree, Saki - but I'll take any bit of good news we can get! I really thought Jorge had arm twisted Chambliss enough to go along with what he wants.

    Very good news!

We need to get this type of confirmation from 45+ Senators to make sure there is no chance of this bill being passed by cloture.

Time to make those phone calls!

I agree. It indicates we might well have some leverage here. I was quite surprised to read your report. I'm getting ready to start on my calls. I've been doing emails and faxes this morning while I took a few work calls. I now have 2 1/2 days to donate to the cause.

This is good news! But now we need Chambliss to change his position to refusing to vote yes on anything to do with this bill amended or not!

Chambliss office said for cloture no, but no decision yet on the bill. My response was "this fraudulent bill can never be anything, but the first step in butchering and destroying our Nation; and this is treason". He replied, "as long as it stays in cloture they can't vote on it". "That's the problem", I said " maybe not today, but they'll find a way to pass it, secretly behind closed doors, If needs be. It needs to die and stay dead or the senator will never hold an elected office again, so he's needs to vote NO. And stand with his constituents and the American people or with the most evil officeholders in my lifetime.

    Isakson also voting No.
