    Question on faxing

I was wondering how much it costs to send a fax from your home phone land line? We have to dial a 1 to get it through to places considered long distance.

I believe the charge is the same as a long distance phone call and based on minutes, too.

So faxing with my fax machine through my land line costs me long distance charges if I need to dial a one? I want to clarify just in case my first post was misunderstood.

A fax call usually takes less than a minute.

There are some free online fax services.

    check out link4pc.com/metrofax

I don't remember if there is a limit of the number you can send.

Yes, unless you are dialing a toll free number such as a 1-800, 1-866 or 1-877 number.

Some calling plans bill by the second (we have one that does).
