You know things are messed up when
You can have (up to) 30 million illegals within this country.
The majority of them are rewarded for their illegal action.
BUT what ever you do. DO NOT download 24 songs (illegally)
You will get charged $62,500 per song or just $1,500,000 (total)

An of course neither is right to do. It just seems messed up that something so minor comes with such a hefty fine. The other (not near minor) seems to be rewarded."We are not for any type or form of "AMNESTY"..We are a equal oppurtunity deporter. We will not discriminate against you due to your race/age/religion .. "

Great point!
If you are a legal American (especially a white American), you'd better pay your business sales tax even though the foreign businesses get a nod because they may not understand what to do because of a language barrier.
If you are a white American, you may still not qualify for welfare/food stamps and other services even when in dire need, but if you are a foreigner there are agencies in Georgia designed to walk you through the whole process so there is no language barriers and no delay in getting the entitlement.
Sound a little bitter??? Been watching this going on for years, and I'm finally tired of sitting in the back of the bus!!!!

Interesting comments
To put a point on it
If I buy a CD and make a tape copy and GIVE it to my wife to play in her car , Am I in violation ?
I am trying to figure this one out , If I freely give something away
how is that a copy right issue?
peer to peer sharing is a gray area , no money is being exchanged
Besides , who would want most of the modern garbage the record companies are putting out?

I just wanted to add
Unless your the Rolling Stones or Led Zep , or an uber major star
The only ones getting rich on cd sales are the record companies
Just about all the rock and music stars I know make their money on live
shows , they get like 2% ofr record sales (if that) , and out of that they have to pay money back to the record companies for promo, recording , etc

Triumph, this point can be readily used in this battle and is a VERY valid comparrison.

11-05-2010, 07:36 PM #810,000 bootleg DVDs of 'Nollywood' Nigerian movies seized in Brooklyn
BY William Sherman
DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER
Thursday, November 4th 2010, 4:54 PM
More than 10,000 bootleg DVDs of popular Nigerian movies have been seized this week after complaints from "Nollywood" film execs about rampant piracy in Brooklyn.
The pirated DVDs were found at nine stores in the borough, along with several high volume disc duplicators, said District Attorney Charles Hynes.
"The sale of bootleg and counterfeit goods deprives the city and state of New York of millions of dollars in sales tax revenue," Hynes said yesterday.
"And it deprives the artists who made the movies of their well-deserved proceeds."
The Nigerian film industry, known globally as "Nollywood," is extremely prolific, second only to India's Bollywood in terms of the number of films made.
Most are straight to DVD or TV, but extremely popular throughout the African continent.
That popularity has followed to the communities of immigrants from Africa in the United States, where they are legally sold in DVD form for $5 apiece while the fakes sell for $3 each.
Among the titles recovered in the sweep this past week are feature films like "Material Girl," "Mind Games," the "Governor's Gift" and "Stolen Will."
