I just heard the food prices will increase 4 1/2 % by the end of the year. So much for prices going up if they leave. They haven't even left yet.
The effect of the boycott here in Reno had little effect on no one but them(they lost a days work and maybe their job) and Luther Mack.
The presence here have no effect on the price of lettuce.
Food Price Outlook, 2007
In 2007, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for all food is projected to increase 3.5 to 4.5 percent, as retailers pass on higher commodity and energy costs to consumers in the form of moderately higher retail prices. Food-at-home prices are also forecast to increase 3.5 to 4.5 percent, while food-away-from-home prices are forecast to increase 3.0 to 4.0 percent in 2007. The all-food CPI increased 2.4 percent between 2005 and 2006, with food-at-home prices increasing 1.7 percent and food-away-from-home prices up 3.1 percent.

I don't want illegal aliens here under any circumstances. I want them ALL DEPORTED. I hate them demanding changes to OUR COUNTRY'S LAWS. It's none of their freakin business! I can't stand to hear them threatening to make boycotts or not go to work because "America will shut down". Bullcrap! ICE is finally doing something about it, and illegals start to whine. Well, WHO CARES. GO HOME OR BE DEPORTED.RIP Butterbean! We miss you and hope you are well in heaven.-- Your ALIPAC friends

What about the commute time and gas savings alone would make it worth it.
Supply and demand means that the price of goods would go 'down' not up. since there will be fewer buyers for them.
Not to mention the drain on our social services
