Mr. Bush, that US-Mexico Border Needs US Troops. NOW!

Some Mexicans are apparently enraged at the fatal shooting of smuggler G. Martinez who died last Saturday. So, now they are shooting at US Border Patrol!

BTW, Martinez had been detained eleven(11) times for invading the US and smuggling!

So, where in the hell is our "war on terror" president? Doting over election results in Iraq? Trying to draw a revised "Road Map" for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the event Ariel Sharon expires? Writing checks to the American Heart Association to unload guilt about being a receipient of the Abramoff tainted dough?

Come on GW, you better act quickly before a confrontation at the border leads to the shedding of innocent Border Patrol blood. Call youur pal, Vicente, and TELL HIM to keep his GD people from shooting at US citizens, and TELL HIM to stop his people from invading the US. TELL HIM in caps is a hint that diplomacy may be uneeded in this mess!

Better act now GW, before this leads to an all-out war!

    Signed Sealed, Delivered

The Gadsden Purchase Was Signed in Mexico City
    December 30, 1853
Meeting in Mexico City on December 30, 1853, James Gadsden, U.S. Minister to Mexico, and General Antonio López de Santa Anna, president of Mexico, signed the Gadsden Purchase. The treaty settled the dispute over the exact location of the Mexican border west of El Paso, Texas, giving the U.S. claim to approximately 29,000 square miles of land in what is now southern New Mexico and Arizona, for the price of $10 million.

We have a constitutional right to protect ourselves. I marvel at the patience and fortitude shown by the BP in avoiding conflict with the Mexicans who torment and taunt them with rocks, guns and other assaults.

I wouldn't be interested in going to a job every day in which I was told that I had to 'hide' and 'avoid confrontation' at any and every level. A job in which I was expected to lay down my constitutional rights to self preservation. I don't know how in the world they do it...and of course we lose trained agents every week...Who could blame them?? If they don't defend themselves they're dead or injured...if they do defend themselves they go on 'administrative leave' while the event is 'investigated'...sheesh..

We've put up with too much for too long...

How in the heck can this scumbag have been detained 11 times and not be serving hard time? We just heard DHS Sec. Cherk-off spew about stricter enforcement against smugglers, how many times do you have to get caught before you get punished? 50 times? 100 times? And what do they mean by detained? Getting held in a immigration office for a few hours and then released? What a joke, no wonder smugglers run rampant along the border when they know they can get caught 11 times, and be back out on the streeets in hours or days to do it again. You know that if he was nabbed 11 times, he must have gotten away with it hundreds of times. Who knows how many 'good hearted folks' this guy has let loose on our streets.
