    Breaktime

Hi, just checking in to say, I've been on the phone all morning and just stopping for lunch break.

I started with lambasting my own two Senators in all their offices both in Washington and locally. Senator Salazar's aid in Denver was especially blasé. When I stopped in the middle of my speech to ask him a question, he said "HUH? He hadn't been listening to me but working on something else at the same time! When he realized I had asked him a question he had to switch modes in his multitasking and start listening to me. He was blasé again when I mentioned the TAX EVASION ISSUE. "Oh well, there are loopholes, you know." " Yes, for businesses there are." "No, for everyone"

While I was in a HOT mode, I talked to Senator Kennedy's office, where an aid ADMITTED to me that Guestworker programs will only help Big Business, and will "cut the throats" of American workers. Those were my words, but the aid agreed with it. I asked him QUESTIONS rather than giving a lecture, and he always wound up admitting that the shamnesty is NOT good for the American worker. When I asked why Senator Kennedy would support the destruction of Americans jobs and livelihood there was an uncomfortable silence.

I have called all the senators with good CAREER voting for Border control and Interoir enforcement (yeah, like we've really seen THAT- but anyway these guys voted for IE and BC). I have been asking them to introduce ENFORCEMENT ONLY legislation. I had left messages on all their machines last night as well.

A suprising number of these aids don't KNOW their senators position or said the Senator had not released any statement concerning it.
I next began on the Sentors up for re-election, from the lists Tim Binh and political activist gave us.

A suprising number of re-electin Senators on the LOW ABI list were ADAMANT that they do NOT support guestworker programs or amnesties. However they could not tell me anything about which bill their senator would be supporting. They were quite willing to talk to me. Orin Hatch's (R-UT)office waS PARTICULARLY ADAMANT ABOUT IT. Perhaps some of you would like to follow up on him to drive the point home. Kay Hutchinson's (R-TX) office was also pretty anxious.

I was able to get through to DeWine's office but the aid didn't know anything about the issue and sent me to one who did. The specialist aid was not available and I was sent to voice mail.

All my calls to Washington this morning have been on the 1 888 355 3588 free switchboard line for congress. This afternoon I will call the offices of the presidential hopefuls, Frist, McCain and George Allen (VA)

Then I will begin on the local offices for ALL these above Senators this afternoon for which I have my phone card ready!!

When I am done with local offices, I will start on the switchboard number AGAIN. Though I have to go to work at 1:30, I will be back at 9:00PM to continue to leave messages on Senators' machines until 12 midnite.

This is so much fun I might do it again tomorrow.

It's alot better than having the blood of our PATRIOT minutemen shed. I'm afraid that's what we'll come to if we cannot get these Senators to listen to us.
