Friends,

While the ALIPAC.us website continues to do wonderful things for our cause, she has become a Millennium Falcon of sorts.

The software we are using is on the verge of becoming abandon-ware and while we are getting the job done, it is time to consider a big change and upgrade.

Working with our Comms Director, we have come up with a plan of action to attempt a massive upgrade for our site.

This upgrade may or may not succeed. There is a safe way for us to try it and we believe we have found a way to attempt it a fairly low cost of around $3,000. While that is a very low cost for such a massive job, those funds are not in our normal operations budget.

So I am checking here to look for sponsors that may be willing to help us attempt to massively upgrade the ALIPAC website to improve take the web traffic and number of people interacting here to all new levels!

Here are some of the many things we hope to accomplish with an attempted upgrade.

1. Faster speed on all page loads bringing and keeping more people on our site
2. A more professional and modern appearance.
3. Improved Search Engine Optimization that will make our content appear in higher rankings on the engines bringing more people to our site.
4. Increased functions including the ability to post pictures and videos on our homepage and embedded videos on our forums.
5. Improved security against spammers and trolls.
6. Easier syndication options allowing people to post our content to Facebook, twitter, and other social media with greater ease.
7. Streamlining for smart phone viewing of the site.
8. An ALIPAC App or Application for Smart Phone users to access our content with ease.

We will need many kinds of support to attempt this. We will need your patience and perseverance as a new setup is created here. We will need financial sponsors and we will need some volunteer help getting the new operations moving along well. There will be some necessary retraining on using these boards.

We hope to be able to keep everyone's existing accounts and post history access intact, but that is not 100% guaranteed we can do that just yet.

If members of our online community are willing to make pledges of support to help us reach the 3k we will create a page on our website in honor of those that helped build the new online facility here.

So your user name could become a permanent part of the site on our online cornerstone plaque you might say

Please let me know if anyone is interested in helping us with this or if you have any questions, suggestions, or concerns.
