(Raleigh, NC) The North Carolina based national organization ALIPAC is calling for a GOP primary challenger to remove Congresswoman Renee Ellmers from office due to her support for a form of Amnesty for illegal aliens that is also desired by Barack Obama.

Ellmers recently revealed her support for Amnesty after meeting with NC Farm Bureau and Chamber of Commerce Groups which also support Amnesty. Her release states that for illegal immigrants she wants to 'formulate a process for them to earn legal work status'.

"Renee Ellmers's stance in favor of a form of Amnesty for illegal aliens is opposed by more than 80% of NC GOP primary voters thus making her highly vulnerable to a primary challenger in 2014," said William Gheen, who is both President of ALIPAC and a past GOP campaign consultant of many years. "We need a representative in NC's 2nd district who is focused on jobs and taxpayer resources for North Carolina citizens instead of catering to illegal aliens and those who employ them. Ellmers is clearly another big business illegal alien amnesty supporting puppet that gives Republicans a bad name."

ALIPAC is a national organization, but many of the group’s founders, including William Gheen, are NC residents with extensive ties to Republican Party politics.

ALIPAC plans to broadcast news of Renee Ellmers's support for Obama's illegal alien amnesty plans directly to GOP voters in her district while also creating a permanent and highly visible archive of her stances online for members of the media, the public, and opposition campaigns.
