    Hi,

Your draft letter reads as if 'we' are against
enforcing our immigrations laws, too (first paragraph
below). Shouldn't this sentence be worded differently
to avoid confusion - that we are against amnesty but
    SUPPORT enforcement, border control?

    The way the draft reads:

"We, the undersigned, state that our organizations
stand against racism and Amnesty for illegal aliens
and for the enforcement of our existing immigration
laws, the securing of America's borders, and attrition
    enforcement."

    Suggested language?

"We, the undersigned, state that our organizations
stand against racism and Amnesty for illegal aliens
but support the enforcement of our existing
immigration laws, the securing of America's borders,
and attrition enforcement." (or something like that)

    THANKS for all you do!!!!!!!!!!!

    suggestions for 2nd paragraph

More suggested tweaks to wording in second paragraph:

"We, the undersigned, state that our organizations
are opposed to racism and Amnesty for illegal aliens.
We support enforcement of our existing
immigration and employment laws, the securing of America's borders,
    and attrition through enforcement."

"support" is a little weak. "Demand" or "insist upon" too strident/ Hillaryesque. "Strongly support" -- qualifiers actually weaken. Is there another word? "endorse"? "Support" may be the best option.

I believe that the usual phrase is "attrition through enforcement", though I sometimes state it as "attrition and self-deportation, through enforcement". So far, the only leading candidate to explicitly endorse "attrition through enforcement" is Thompson. I wish that Romney would add it to his very strong "no amnesty" message, to clarify in no uncertain terms his plan for the illlegal aliens now in the country.

I'm very glad you used the phrase in your letter. It is the sine qua non element in fixing the mess, and the future for illegals now in the country is what most of the candidates refuse to talk about. (Giuliani's radio ad for NH only says: "If anyone becomes a citizen" he wants them to read and write English. "IF"? What kind of a plan is "If"? )

Frankly, I can not even rationalize why these politicos continue these discussions on "illegal immigration." If someone entered this (or any country) by breaking the host country's laws, then that person committed a crime, & has therefore, ILLEGALLY entered by whatever means. How many other laws will be broken once here? We have to know who enters this country. Perhaps, if our security was better, 9/11 could have been disrupted. We certainly have avoided many others. Our borders are the weakest point of entry. Remember, all those people who came through Ellis Island, those who were turned away after failing certain strict requirements to enter? Yes, they were Europeans, but the minorities of their time. I guess that is not PC right now.

Illegal Aliens Come for "employment opportunity".

We need candidates for President down through all levels of Congress who know that we can achieve mass voluntary deportation only by maximizing fines and prison sentences for those who employ the illegal aliens. Then really go after them! I personally believe that, to get Congress in tune with the will of the majority of Americans, we need to clean house of all incumbents. Especially all the "Bush Ass Kissers"
Maybe all those who have served more than one term.
