Americans for Legal Immigration PAC is calling for Mitt Romney (857-288-3500) to release his statement regarding Barack Obama's executive decree Dream Act amnesty announcement today since Romney has remained silent on this story of national importance.

"Mitt Romney's silence today is deafening!" said William Gheen President of ALIPAC. "Romney has promised voters he would veto the Dream Act, will push illegal aliens out of America through increased immigration enforcement, and turn off illegal immigration magnets. Obama just bypassed Congress, our existing laws, the elections and the US Constitution to do contradict everything Romney promised. Where is Mitt Romney on Obama's historic and and nation shaking actions today?"

A Wall Street Journal online poll is showing 66% public opposition to Obama's amnesty announcement.

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC believes that American voters need leaders that take on tough issues head on. Today's announcement by Obama is unprecedented in American history. Some have suggested that despite his tough rhetoric about illegal immigration, that Mitt Romney serves the same Council on Foreign Relations and Goldman Sachs masters as Obama and thus would eventually have an identical agenda regarding illegal immigration.

"Mitt Romney needs to come out and oppose both Obama's Dream Act Amnesty and Obama's use of dictatorial powers to overthrow the functions of the Congress and the American Republic," said William Gheen in a second release Friday afternoon. "Otherwise, Mitt Romney's silence will suggest acquiescence to both!"

Members of the America media, talk radios shows, and bloggers are encouraged to immediately confront the Romney campaign on this issue.
