HELP ENGLISH FIRST GET SUPPORT FOR H.R. 1414, THE MULTIINGUAL ACCOUNTING ACT

Dear xxx,

Do you know exactly how many of your tax dollars your government spends on multilingual programs?

I mean everything, from the costs of hiring bilingual teachers, printing bilingual textbooks, translating every government website into multiple languages, requiring every agency and department throughout the entire United States to hire translators and/or print materials to ensure that any person, speaking any language, can receive government services in their language of choice.

Do you have any idea how much this costs you and every other American taxpayer?

Wait, there's more. Thanks to Bill Clinton's Executive Order 13166, federal bilingual mandates were extended to every single company doing business with the federal government or receiving any federal benefit from the federal government requiring all of them to provide the same multilingual services. This list includes, but is not limited to all government contractors or anyone doing business with the federal government, all tax-exempt entities, like schools, hospitals, churches and all nonprofit organizations.

The list goes on ... there's motor vehicle office's, police stations, post offices, courtrooms, welfare offices, social security offices, perhaps, even prisons, and all those other places where a non-English speaking person might receive services provided in his or her language of choice. The list is far from complete, but I am sure you can begin to get the picture of just how far multilingualism has been forced upon us by our federal government.

So, what do you think we taxpayers pay annually to support multilingual services? Millions? Billions? Trillions? If you're not sure, don't feel bad. The correct answer is NOBODY KNOWS! Nobody knows because our government wants it that way.

Our politicians fear that if we, the people, knew exactly how much money was being squandered on multilingual services designed for the benefit of illegal aliens, who shouldn't be here in the first place, there would be a riot among America's taxpayers who would rise up and demand these programs be ended at once!

Being able to quote the true costs of multilingual programs would be a powerful way to get tens of millions of Americans to call for the elimination of all these programs; repeal E.O.13166; and, finally, make English the official language of the United States.

But how do we get the real numbers out of a government that, clearly, doesn't want to tell the people the truth about what all these multilingual programs cost? I've got great news for you. Congresswoman Virginia Foxx of North Carolina has already introduced a bill, H.R.1414, the Multilingual Services Accounting Act, that will give us the information we need to eliminate this insane bilingual boondoggle, once and for all.

H.R.1414 requires every federal agency's Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to start including detailed accounting information for all of its multilingual services in their mandatory annual reports to the Directors of each federal agency AND to the Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).

This is huge! Once this bill passes, we can reveal to the general public how much this horrible, divisive and wasteful program has been costing them. And I have no doubt that in this economic climate, the vast majority of all Americans will be shouting from the rooftops to get rid of this program!

Rep. Foxx already has about thirty cosponsors for her bill, but we need a lot more to be able to push it through this hostile Congress. That's why we are hoping to rely on you to click here and send an email to get your Representative to become a cosponsor of H.R.1414.

I know that if this bill passes, our chances for defeating the reauthorization of multilingual programs will be very good! It is urgent that we get as many cosponsors as fast as we can because we must get this bill passed before the Congress takes up reauthorization. We are making passage of this bill a top priority because if we can stop the funding for bilingual programs, we can begin to take our country back.

These are critical times for our language rights. Can you imagine what will happen to this already bloated bilingual budget if another 30 million illegal aliens get amnesty and begin demanding services in Spanish! It could mean the end of everything you and I have worked for.

Sincerely,
Frank McGlynn
Executive Director
