Over the past several months those of us who are against illegal immigration protested mainly against amnesty legislation. We won that battle. But now it's time to begin the next stage in the battle against illegal immigration. Now it's time to take the fight to the local level and demand local enforcement of US immigration law.


The ProAmerica Rally on Morristown – Inaugurating a New Nationwide Approach

On Saturday July 28, 2007, from 12pm to 2pm, the ProAmerica Rally will be held in front of town hall in historic Morristown, NJ, where, during our Revolutionary War, General George Washington established his military headquarters during the winter of 1779-1780. The rally is being held to protest illegal immigration and demand local enforcement of our immigration laws.

The ProAmerica Rally is being held in Morristown because Mayor Donald Cresitello is one of the first mayors in the nation to apply to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency for local-level participation in its 287(g) program, which enables local police officers to enforce US immigration law. And we believe that, along with securing our southern border and seriously penalizing irresponsible employers who hire illegal aliens, combating illegal immigration will be most effectively accomplished at the local level via 287(g).

The ProAmerica Rally on Morristown has five key purposes:

• (1) to support the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency's 287(g) program, which enables local police officers to enforce US immigration law;
  
  (2) to demand that our government enforce our immigration laws and secure our southern border;
  
  (3) to demand that irresponsible American employers and businesses stop hiring illegal aliens;
  
  (4) to demand respect for our society and respect for our laws from those who willfully remain here illegally and arrogantly demand entitlements that they have no right to demand;
  
  (5) to oppose racism and ethnic prejudice, promote human dignity, and advance American principles.

The ProAmerica Rally on Morristown seeks to be the inaugural event of a national effort to begin this next stage in the fight against illegal immigration.

We have much work to do. We've heard the voices of illegal aliens and their supporters. Now it's time they heard ours!!
