The press conference went well. Ted Hayes, David Hernandez (the future mayor of Los Angeles) myself and a couple of others spoke to the press. I believe they gave us a fair hearing.

We then went to the LAPD Commison meeting, and asked for a swift and thorough investigation of the violations of our civil rights. Najee Ali, head of Project Islamic Hope and a noted "civil rights" advocate was given the last word by Commision President John Mack. In his time befor the COmmission he had no caser to lay before the Commission other than we are racists, and that Ted should be denied any further permits. Funny how a "civil rights" activist would want to deny those rights to another American, isn't it. Makes me wonder if there is something in Islam that automatically ignites a desire to suppress other peoples' rights?

Please continue to keep us in your prayers. We are at ground zero in Los Angeles and things are heating up.

    Pocho
