What a deal that was.

The US was protected from asylum seekers from Greenland.
Canada was protected from asylum seekers from Mexico, all of Central and South America.

She would be no better off here. The difference is here, our authorities would pursue the perpetrator, after the fact, and try to prosecute them. Neighbors might call authorities. The likelihood of there being killed would be less, but there is no absolute protection!
