'Mother of all migrant caravans' — more than 20,000 people — could be headed toward US, Mexican official says

The caravan reportedly is forming in Honduras

The "mother of all migrant caravans" — with more than 20,000 people — could be headed toward the United States, the New York Post reported, citing Mexico's Interior Secretary Olga Sanchez Cordero.
"We have information that a new caravan is forming in Honduras that they're calling 'the mother of all caravans,' and they are thinking it could have more than 20,000 people," she said Wednesday, the paper reported.
Migrants from Honduras as well as El Salvador and Guatemala are reportedly taking part in the caravan, the Post said.

What does an official from Honduras have to say?

Honduras' Deputy Foreign Minister Nelly Jerez said, "There is no indication of such a caravan" forming in his country, the paper reported.
What does President Trump have to say?

President Donald Trump blasted Mexico in a Thursday tweet over the flow of illegal immigrants into the U.S. and threatened to close the southern border:

What else did Mexican officials say?

Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said Thursday his country is doing its part, the Post reported.
"We are going to do everything we can to help," he said, according to the paper. "We don't in any way want a confrontation with the U.S. government. It is legitimate that they are displeased, and they voice these concerns."
Interior Secretary Cordero said Mexico would provide a "containment" line of federal police and immigration agents to stop caravans from coming to the U.S., the Post said.
Reuters reported that a separate caravan of 1,200 migrants from Central America and Cuba began moving toward the U.S. border from southern Mexico last weekend. The Post reported its size as about 2,500.

Mexico is doing everything they can do to "help" alright.

Helping by giving them the passes to enter Mexico by the thousands.

Helping to "police escort" the taxis, semis and trucks loaded up with them.

Helping to move them right through their cities and towns as quickly as they can is exactly what they are doing!

They do not want them and the USA does not want them.

Deport them all right back over the FIRST border they illegally crossed from...be it Canada or Mexico...or on a flight from who knows where! Just get them out and keep them out, including their UAC's. We are not your baby daddy!

Trump BETTER keep his promise he made today, to shut our border with Mexico. This is getting ridiculous. And if he's serious about recognizing this as a national emergency, then he will make sure that the source of this problem, the people who hire them, are severely dealt with. And make sure these people (criminals) cannot access any federal or state aid.

And he better keep his promise of cutting off aid to these countries. If he doesn't, we're very, very screwed.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for cutting the aid. However, I don't see how it would stop a single illegal alien or asylum seeker from coming.

As for shutting down the border. I'm not sure he has the 'gonads' to do it. Could you imagine the hell he would catch from all the business interest here that depend on such access.

What does shutting down the border mean? To me it means shutting down the border, all 1900+ miles of it. DHS and others are saying shutting down the border means shutting down some Ports, so BP can help with the processing of the migrants. They also said it was not to punish Mexico.

Will Trump shut down the border, or is this another FAKE pass? Is this to STOP the invaders or is this to ASSIST the invaders?
