FLORENCE, AZ (CBS5) -Four men from Mexico, including one who admitted to being previously deported from the United States 14 times, were turned over to the U.S. Border Patrol after their arrests Sunday on Interstate 10 in Pinal County.
A deputy stopped a 1999 Honda Civic with four men inside for a traffic violation, according to a PCSO news release.
The driver, Cesar Martinez, 23, told the deputy he had just bought the car from an unidentified woman and that he didn't have a driver's license because he was in the country illegally, according to the release.
The other passengers also admitted to being in the country illegally, according to the release.
The U.S. Border Patrol confirmed that Tomas Rivera-Flores, 33, had been deported 14 times.
The deputy said he smelled the odor of marijuana in the car and his K9 acted accordingly, but no pot was found.
