    U.S. Coast Guard
MIAMI -- A group of 146 Haitian migrants was returned to Haiti on Friday morning after the U.S. Coast Guard stopped their boat near the Turks and Caicos Islands Wednesday.

According to a news release by the U.S. Coast Guard, a jet crew spotted the overloaded 50-foot motorboat. A Coast Guard patrol boat and cutter stopped the boat about 18 miles south of West Caicos.

Officials said there were 101 men and 45 women aboard the boat.

Crewmembers took the people aboard the Coast Guard cutter and took them back to Cap Haitien, Haiti, on Friday morning.

This occurs on a regular basis down here. There is only one question I have for the Coast Guard. Why do Haitians and Dominicans get caught on a regular basis but Cubans do not. They are smuggled here on a regular basis and many have been hurt or even lost their lives on their way here. I really think that they need to rethink the wetfoot dryfoot policy for that reason. They are not coming over here due to political persecution but rather for economic purposes just like the Haitians, Mexicans, Central Americans, Dominicans and other do.

They don't seem to be concerned or care about the "other ones"....just the latino ones.

The Coast Guard is fabulous! And yes the wet-dry foot policy has to be stopped and these "refugees" are here for nothing more than money and whatever else they can get out of us. Many Cuban-Americans can't wait to go back and some I have spoken to, have great ideas for getting the home-country rolling in democracy. They will have a rude surprise trying to convert workers brought up under the Communist regime, where the mantra is to steal everything you can and sell it on the black market.
