Mexico won’t pay for citizens’ care in U.S.

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Nevada should not expect financial relief anytime soon from the government of Mexico to help pay for the health care costs of its citizens in the United States.
The program mentioned by Gov. Jim Gibbons on Monday after a meeting with Dr. Jose Angel Cordova Villalobos, secretary of Mexico’s Ministry of Health, does not provide financial help to Mexican nationals seeking medical help in the United States. The Health Windows program, currently operating in New York and several other cities across the country, is a referral and education program offered to Mexican residents by Mexican consulates.
The purpose of the program is to help Mexican citizens, including those who are in the U.S. illegally, find less costly or free treatment at qualified health centers rather than go to hospital emergency rooms, said Steve George, a spokesman for the Nevada Department of Health and Human Resources.
Gibbons was in Mexico earlier this week conferring with various officials on a number of issues, from border security to economic cooperation.
During a teleconference call on Monday, Gibbons said he was intrigued by the Health Windows program because of the potential to lessen the burden of providing health care to non-citizen residents of Nevada with payments from the Mexican government directly to its citizens to cover the cost of health care.
Any program that would subsidize the cost of health care treatment for nonresidents is “a win for the people of Nevada,â€

Why am I not surprised.

Well, this is no surprise.
Mexico already heavily depends upon their people illegally in this country to send money home.

The first time I heard about this I asked myself what Gibbons was smoking. Did he really expect Mexico to pay for anything, let alone health care costs, for it's vermin?

That's why they come here........to suck up everything for free that they possibly can from this country, for several reasons, not the least of which being so they can send billions back to Mexico.

Gibbons just came out looking like a fool at the hands of the Mexican Govt.

It just says where else to lok for free medical care after exhausting the local emergency rooms.

Whodathunkit.............. not long ago the Mexican consolate was on the west coast decrying how Mexican ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS health was declining while in the US and was seeking ways to help the impoverished.

My take is that he wanted money from the US to prop up the ILLEGALS again with more state aid and medical care.

I didnt see any concern about Americans and how they are treated at medical centers because of the lack of care as a citizen

as well.... I didnt see his hand go into his wallet to throw in a dollar or 2

The only thing that went through my mind was

TAKE YOUR BROKE A _ _ back to your country and fix your back yard before you even think of looking in mine

Feel free to give piggy back rides to any and all of your citizens in this country that need a lift home

Mexico is shameless, a broken corrupt country that has no pride.

But the USA is going to send them ONE Billion dollars and
military equipment to fight the drug war down there.
That is OUR tax dollars are going to fight the drug war.
.......and pay for the 30 million that are here for all
their medical, etc care.

For a bunch of people who so arrogantly like to rub it in America's face that they are "The Race" and the world would fall apart without them, they're awfully damned dependent on everyone else to hold them together, aren't they?
