LAKE HAVASU CITY - Two men, who both worked at the same fast food restaurant and were both in the country illegally, have been arrested after they were pulled over on two separate occasions.

Three weeks ago, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies initiated a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle. The driver identified himself as 25-year-old Juan David Torres Ramirez, who had a Mexico driver's license.

Ramirez allegedly admitted he did not have a work permit to work in the United States. He was wearing a uniform from a local fast food restaurant.

The Border Patrol determined that Ramirez was an illegal immigrant and he was taken into custody.

Wednesday night, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that did not have license plates. The driver was identified as 32-year-old J. Nery Hosmar Castillo-Alfaro. He had a Honduras driver's license.

The Border Patrol determined that Castillo-Alfaro was also an illegal immigrant and he was taken into custody. He and Ramirez worked at the same fast food chain.

The details of these arrests have been sent to the Mohave County Attorney's Office to review for violations of the Arizona Employer Sanctions Law.

A sweep of many fast food places in any city would reveal a ton of illegals

I would bet it is McDonalds as they are notorious for hiring them and promoting the hispanic cause. They even have scholarships for hispanics that they advertise at their counter. Next guess is Burger King followed by Taco Bell.

It may be documented on the police report. Additionally, all of AZ is participating in Secure Communities, so their finger prints are sent to the FBI and ICE. ICE them decides to hold or release them.

    Any follow up ?

FYI illegals can bond out depending on their crime and that is why many of them used to get caught carrying $2,000 cash on them. When they bond out they move elsewhere. I see it with the NVDL (no valid fdriver's license) cases. They don't pay the fine or go to court and end up with a bench warrant. Then police in another county or state deal with them for whatever the case may be and when they run them they will have a warrant form somewhere else.

I dom't believe they can "bond out" when ICE puts them on an immigration hold. That's one of the critcal changes with Secure Communities. ICE is automatically notified and very quickly responds.

Without Secure Communities, ICE was seldom notified and when they were, the response might not be timely. Local police typically wait only four hours. Lacking an immigration hold, any illegal resident may "bond out".

If it is a misdemeanor arrest they do let them out and they are suppose to check in with ICE or ICE checks up on them. The reason is that both the jails and ICE's detention centers are overcrowded and misdemeanor crimes are less serious. These arrestees cannot just be deported for a misdemeanor arrest and are allowed to go infront of an immigration judge.
