LOS ANGELES — The FBI says two fugitives wanted in separate murder cases in Southern California were arrested in Mexico this week and returned to the United States.

The agency said Friday the arrests are the result of investigations by a task force made up of FBI agents and Los Angeles police detectives. They located Jose Luis Munoz in Mexico Sunday, two days after he allegedly shot a driver to death during a road rage incident in Los Angeles.

On Wednesday, authorities in Tijuana turned over custody of a man suspected in a 2008 vengeance killing in Wilmington to U.S. authorities. The FBI says a probe by the task force led to Fernando DeJesus Ochoa's whereabouts in Mexico.

Both Ochoa and Munoz will be prosecuted by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office.
