TIJUANA – Eight bodies were found early yesterday in a residential area near the center of the city and a ninth was discovered several miles away, the latest deadly toll of what law enforcement authorities are saying is a fight between criminal groups operating in the region.

At least 27 bodies have been found since Monday in various locations in Tijuana.

The eight victims found together yesterday, all men, had been shot, according to a statement from the Baja California Attorney General's Office.

One was handcuffed, while the other seven had their hands behind their necks; all were found lying face down, according to the statement. Two of the victims carried what appeared to be U.S. deportation papers.

As in several other cases, the killers left a cryptic message. It read: “Here are your people, albañil.â€

Law enforcement officials say the violence is a result of their efforts to break up the powerful drug cartels that control the flow of illegal drugs to the United States.
One more reason why the Mexican government should be helping secure the border. If the American and Mexican border was secure the drug cartels would leave. That would be good for American and Mexican peoples, bad for South America and/or Europe!!
