That's because the numbers are bogus. ALIPAC's and MW's posts show a big part of the reason why. Add "illegals motels" - places where illegals stay until they're ready to sneak back in -and we have the trifecta of bogus deportation statistics.

President Eisenhower had illegals bused deep into Mexico. Ike also warned people in Texas, including then Senator Lyndon Johnson, against undercutting Americans by hiring illegals.
