A new report released today by the Southern Poverty Law Center found that low-income Latino immigrants face increasing hostility as they fill low-wage jobs in the southern United States, which until recently had few Latino immigrants until recently. Based on a survey of 500 low-income Latinos across the South — including legal residents, undocumented immigrants and U.S. citizens — the report concludes that Latinos are frequent victims of theft, workplace discrimination, sexual abuse and violence.

A sizeable portion of America's legal and citizen Latinos oppose illegal immigration and Comprehensive Immigration Reform. Even many of those who support it have not personally financed illegal immigration perhaps the best approach would be if legal Latinos took a more active role and helped police against it.

How long has the American Citizens been abused by employers and illegals? LOL

there are many Hispanics who are legal citizens who are as lazy as the rest of our citizens and do not care. There is also a contingent that favors the invasion and are just waiting for the day to stand up and stab us in the back. Many of them are easy to find--they are politicians and pastors.

Where is this "Report"?

So people are reacting to illegal aliens taking their jobs. There are too many visa holders too so yes, they will feel it too. Sounds like human nature to me. Can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

The report describes horrific abuses of Latino immigrants, including a young mother arrested and jailed when she asked to be paid for her work in a Tennessee cheese factory; a migrant bean picker whose life savings were confiscated by police during a traffic stop, and a rapist in Georgia going unpunished because his 13-year-old victim is undocumented.

Where's the rest of these stories?
Notice they didn't name any names so you could investigate and research the story for yourself? You would find thier opinions outrageous and biased. Are they in the "report"?

DISCRIMINATION???? Give me a break !

In south Texas, the Latino's get a free pass to drive without license or insurance. If involved in an auto accident, the cops will assure the "not at fault" driver that citations will be issued. The cops will either not write the citations or the "at fault" driver just disappears and never tries to pay for damages.
They also get special treatment by demanding Spanish speaking service people and teachers. They do not have to serve jury duty. Their kids get free food, school supplies, and medical care thru the schools.

The list goes on and on but it is never enough. To say no to the demands of the "race" will label you as racist. To deny college tuition to the kids of illegals is inhumane and cruel. To deny mothers the RIGHT to cross the border to claim citizenship for their children is hateful.

This is INSANE. Most of the crime against Latinos is committed by Latinos.
I guess we should be pleased that so many want to come steal our Identities, our jobs and our kids future. We are an ungrateful country if we do not embelish the contributions of illegal Latinos, and submit to the conquest of Texas, Arizona, California and others.

I agree Dixie they give no documented proof of their allegations so until they do their accusations have NO validity NONE !

I want to know why the SPLC has not been challenged by any Congress Member for their outrageous LIES !!

The Ft. Myers HISPANIC Chamber of Commerce is having a HISPANIC job fair in Ft. Myers FL tommorrow (Wed.). Can you imagine the outrage if there was a "White Job Fair" ?

I can hardly wait for the Tea Party reports. In the south, all races attended but they wont report that.

WHY CAN'T ANGLOS have a job fair? Why can't we have an Anglo American College Fund? Why can't we have an advocacy group?

Anglos are always called racists while the real racists tell us we hate them. They make all these claims to get benefits for their "favored group"

ISN'T THAT RACISM and DISCRIMINATION? Have any Anglos ever applied for Hispanic grants and scholarships? WHY NOT?

Why can all the other groups have special meetings and share benefits with each other, but not ANGLOS?

PERHAPS IT IS TIME FOR A CHANGE. Any lawyers ready to file reverse discrimination suits?

If we are ever going to be one, undivided America, we have to stop pandering to all the special interest groups and level the playing field for all CITIZENS.
