He should have sought the maximum penalty available under the law like he would do against any citizens murderer and let the jury decide. I'm personally opposed to the death penalty. However, as long as we have it, then it must be applied to everyone uniformly including illegal aliens, not just poor schmuck citizens.

He refuses to explain the last-minute order claiming that that the attorney general’s decision-making process and final decision involving the death penalty is confidential.
I'm betting the Mexican government had a lot to do with this, as did Obama. The Mexican government has made it very clear in the past, they are adamantly against the U.S. putting their citizens to death. Holder was appointed by Obama, just as was DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano, and we all know both of these folks march to whatever tune Obama whistles. Make no mistake about it, Holder and Napolitano work at the pleasure of the President of the United States. In other words, they do his bidding first - the law and our concerns are secondary in nature.

Obama has shown over and over again that his willingness to appease the Hispanic special interest in this country and the Mexican government knows no bounds.

For the record, I fully support the death penalty when warranted.

what he should have done is not get involved period and let the prosecutors, jury and judge in the case decide the right punishment

To protect and defend the constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic? Doesn't part of that statement describe most in the district of criminals? Are our elections rigged? Is Barry Soetoro an illegal alien? Is Kenya Barry Soetoro's home country as Michelle Obama has said? Are they working as hard and as fast as they can toward the destruction of this once great nation? Are they accomplishing what foreign enemies have not been able to? Why was Barry Soetoro's first order of business to seal by executive order all of his past school records, his birth certificate (if one exists I haven't seen satisfactory proof to this point), or any other documentation that could let the American People have some insight as to who this man is? Why is he spending so much money fighting legal attempts to bring the documents forward instead of simply releasing them if he has nothing to hide? Why is it taboo to ask these questions? Does the Constitution still apply? Have we lost our country? Manchurian candidate? Just asking. Is that still legal?

Way back when Americans ran America they would hang traitors guilty of treason in the city square. How do they keep getting away with this? Is it because those who are comfy in front of their plasma wide screen TVs eating take out just don't get it or they just don't care until it affects them.
