Another source of labor should be these kids who get in trouble and are sentenced to 'community service' which often seems to involve attending some rap session and flapping their jaw about how they shouldn't have done what they did, they will not do it again, etc. etc. Forget that. Let their community service consist of working in the fields for a week or two. They will have plenty of time to think about what got them into the situation they are in and they will learn the value of a good day's work.

    Re: "Laborers Are Petrified"

Shouldn't they try to avoid hiring dead people ?

(CBS) Standing in the middle of a field of three and a half million onions that were ready to be harvested weeks ago is a stark example of the challenges farmers face in the United States.
Cathy and Jim Zappala’s farm should go under, they don't deserve that farm anymore. They have abused God's gift to them by letting all of that good food rot. They should have hired at a higher pay rate to get the pickers they need. Why haven't these two mechanized over the years? They could have used one of the worker programs already in place, but that would have meant that they would have to house and take care of those migrant workers. SHAME ON THEM!! They had options, but didn't take them out of ggrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeddd!
