Agents Intercept a Cloned Service Van Driven by an Undocumented Individual

SALTON CITY, Calif. – El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents seized a cloned restoration service van and arrested an undocumented individual, Friday afternoon.

Agents conducted a vehicle stop on the yellow 2002 Chevrolet van, during the initial approach of the vehicle, the driver identified himself with a fraudulent identification card and a fake uniform shirt.

After a brief interview with the driver, it was determined that the driver was a Mexican citizen without the proper documentation to be in the U.S. legally. After a search of the vehicle agents discovered that the driver was the only occupant of the vehicle.

The driver, a 28-year-old man, was transported to El Centro Processing Center where his entry was reinstated and will be federally charged. The vehicle was seized as per El Centro Sector guidelines.
