    The Coffee County Jail is seeing a lot of traffic in illegal aliens lately.

    Immigration officers picked up seven undocumented aliens on Tuesday for transport to Montgomery. The inmates will be processed for deportation and sent back to their home countries.

    The practice of shipping the illegals off is limited to those arrested for minor crimes. The ones facing more serious charges are held for local court appearances

    It is a good idea as many of them get out on bond and take off to another county. I see alot of that. It saves alot on court costs. All we can do is hope that they don't come back.
