After Third Debate, It's a Perry Pile-On

ORLANDO — Welcome to the Rick Perry pile-on.

After his relatively lackluster debate performance Thursday night, the conservative political pundit class has basically concluded that the Texas governor is not yet ready for prime-time.

Influential blogger Erick Erickson, the RedState editor who hosted Perry’s announcement speech in Charleston, called the governor’s showing a “train wreck,â€

Perry said his record as governor is more important than his ability to take questions on live television.

So I'm supposed to be impressed that he openly supports illegal invaders? And I'm supposed to be impressed that jobs created in Texas went to Immigrants ( legal and illegal) BEFORE they went to Americans? Don't think so... bow out gracefully Perry!

These so-called "pundits" could have saved themselves a lot of time and trouble had they simply asked most Texans about Perry earlier. We could have told those years ago that he was not now, nor would he ever be, "ready for the big time." The only problem with him tanking is that he is doing it too early. This means he will be back in Texas fulltime much sooner than most of us hoped. He couldn't do any more damage to Texas while he was out touring the country, but he is sure to mess things up when he comes back--especially since he is going to be so pissed about how his big plans fell apart.
