HuffPo is where liberals go to get their news, of course any of their "citizen reporters" are going to report with a slant to help their side, its not rocket science.

I think its great that attention is being drawn to the diversity of issues being "protested" at these events. Taxes were the base of event but people still have feelings on other issues and its great to see them voice those opinions, many of which still relate back to taxes (ie. illegal immigration).

While I don't agree with every viewpoint from protesters at the tea party events I do agree and appreciate their ambition and putting feet on the ground to make their beliefs known, even if HuffPo, CNN, Garofalo, etc want to simply dismiss mass groups of American citizens as if they don't matter.

As for the term "teabagger" and other disgusting comments thrown around like Garofalo's, it just shows we are doing something right. When you have no valid debate to an issue or event you go into attack mode and say anything, no matter how inappropriate, to try and dismiss the people you disagree with.

April 15th was a good day, no matter who tries to downplay it.

These are the idiots that think if they say it, it must be true....they are in denial and running scared, other wise why would they be so worried about what we are doing...

Obama had a chance to do big things for this country and all he has done is divide us more and the prospect of another amnesty will be the last straw, he will be saying he puts illegals before the millions of Americans who are out of work...BIG MISTAKE!

This is not true. I was signed up to be a Huffington Post reporter to factually report the events of the Tea Party on April 15th. I find Huffington Post guilty of grossly slanting their "news" and misrepresenting what their army of citizen journalists reported.

I submitted a report on 4/16/09, the day after the Tea Party at Harrisburg, PA. On 4/19/09, the Huffington Post displayed an article at
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/04/1 ... 88630.html The report misrepresented what I factually reported to them. Their report stated that I "found that pervasive griping about taxes served as a backdrop for other issues that elicited more vehement outrage from attendees". I did not mention any griping about taxes, nor did I mention anything serving as a backdrop for other issues that elicited more vehement outrage from attendees.

The Huffington Post also reported "Diviney described a religious fundamentalist couple in Harrisburg, Pennsylvaniawho warned the crowd against "the wrath of God" and abortion." What they faield to say was that I reported them as ACORN workers, and, that their activity ceased by noon, the time the Tea Party began.

Major ommissions in their article included the following information which I reported:
    • By 11:15, there were already approximately 1,000 people on the steps despite a pouring rain. During the next 45 minutes, another 2,000 to 2,500 people arrived. Some counts were higher, but I estimated only 3,000 in attendance.
    • In the half hour before the event began, hundreds of people went into the capital to see their legislatures and the Governor to express their opinions.
    • There were speakers from local radio stations and from state politicians. Every speaker was calm and direct in their talk. They spoke of the US Constitution and of our founding forefathers. The talks were very motivating.
    • If Harrisburg got 3,000 to their Tea Party event, and there were 2,000 Tea Parties planned in the US (several are now popping up across Europe), there were likely 6,000,000 in attendance at the largest protest in American history. Of course several of the larger cities may see upwards of 15,000 people at individual protests, making the 6,000,000 figure grossly underestimated.
    • I came to this protest having voted for Hilary Clinton as a Democrat. I am questioning my political views, as so many things that are important to me and my country appear to be in danger as a result of the actions and policies of our new president.

Based upon the distortions created byThe Huffington Post article to my report, I suspect that none of their articles are based upon truth, but rather on some perverse political agenda. The editors of the article were Matthew Palevsky, Thibault Chareton, and Kelly Van der Kwast. Shame on you for twisting information and false reporting.

See my video response to the Huffington Post staff who pretend to be reporters/journalists. What a joke.

Thank you Dan for reporting this to the American People. Huffington Post has been a widely read "source" of political events. I noticed during the last election, deviation in their reports from the actual news links to the story they were reporting on. But nothing as bold and dishonest and despicable that I could find anyway as the outrageous lies about the Tea Parties.

You are a Patriot for coming forward and exposing this no-longer-news-worthy source.

Shame, Shame, Shame on Huffington Post.
