America deteriorating due to illegal aliens
• August 4, 2008

Teddy Roosevelt said: "The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of continuing as a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities." During the "Golden Age of Immigration,'' from the late 19th century to the 1960s, people came to the United States and assimilated into our culture. They learned English, and while keeping their customs and traditions, they did not demand that native-born Americans adapt to theirs, as is the case today.

Following the passage of the Immigration Reform Act of 1965, this opened up the floodgates, and the Balkanization of America started. As a result, tens of millions of people have come here - mostly illegally, unskilled, uneducated, illiterate and poor - and have lived in their own neighborhoods while utilizing public assistance and bleeding the system dry, thus leaving the taxpayers to foot the bill.

Many illegal aliens in the United States living here for more than 30 years still don't speak English. Furthermore, pamphlets and publications for public assistance have been printed in many languages. In many pro-amnesty rallies, there are flags of their home country such as Mexico and Guatemala, and speeches in Spanish. The illegal immigrants are here not to become Americans but to leech off the taxpayer and send most of their salary, which is mostly tax-free, back to their own country.

According to historian Seymour Lipset, "Great nations don't die, they commit national suicide." Unfortunately, this is happening in America today.
