All for the benefit of big business and his ego.

    LOL!!!

Is the DNC still sending people here? I thought that would stop once the elections were over...

Friend, I suggest that you check out the platform of the entire slate of Democrat hopefuls for the Presidency as relates to immigration and H1Bs. Better yet, check their actual votes on the issue. While you're at it, check on the platforms of Bush's last two opponents and that of the previous President as well. Need I remind you that Al Gore was Clinton's point man on the rush job to cram large numbers of immigrants through the process, even totally eliminating criminal background checks, prior to the '96 elections?

There is no "epitome of evil" in Washington if you're a rational human being. There is a vast plateau of your "evil" created by an entrenched set of interests that control at least half of the politicians and bureaucrats inside the beltway, and those interests want open borders and a dissolution of American sovereignty. To pretend that this is the work of a single man is not only misinformed, it is ludicrous.

Hey, I voted for him the first time!

Declined to cast a vote for president during the last election, since there were no viable candidates.

While he's not alone in the giving away of America---he sure does not do anything to thwart it.

So you're admitting that calling him "the epitome of evil" was hyperbole?

If people would have attacked this wave of immigration sparked by extreme loosening of enforcement and citizenship requirements under Clinton, we may have been able to stem the tide by now.
I distinctly remember an experience I had and now because of where we stand today, I will never forget having it. It was in Miami in 1998, and I was walking outside with our newborn in my arms. I was just strolling back and forth with the baby and I thought about the fact that absolutely none of our neighbors were Americans. Although I got along well with the neighbors, they were all recent immigrants and many did not speak a word of English. They were not all from Cuba, but Colombia, Honduras, Equador, you name it, they were from everywhere.

I was thinking, "this is not good". This is not America anymore here in Miami. "We are literally raising our children in another country, and it's like a pretty rough Third World kind of country. As I walked back and forth with the baby, I wondered if the government really knew the point that things had reached here. I wondered if they knew how many foreign people were here. From bits and pieces of info I heard from people I was able to piece together that some if not many of these people had "snuck in'. (I didn't even know the term "illegal alien" at that point). I said to myself, "The government must know about this because they have eyes around. I guess they do not care." Then I asked myself, "How could that be? They cannot think that it is alright for people to sneak in here, it just doesn't make sense."

My next thought was, "Why don't people around the country say something about this, is it that they don't care because it isn't happening to them?" I told myself that must be the reason. "Although the people around the country have heard about what's happened to Miami and they see it on TV, they do not care because it's not effecting them." YET.

My last thought was, "I wish I could say something about this to people. But that would be impossible. If I said something about this living here, something very bad might happen to me."

I took my baby home and here I sit in 2007 with all of you. I wish that we Americans had spoken up sooner. It would have saved our country a lot of time, money and heartache.

And if you ask me, this disrespect to the American people by both our government and other governments and the illegal aliens themselves is very much a heartache for the American people.

Americans see invaders driving new cars and trucks, buying homes and paying cash with federal loans or getting good mortgages not available to us.
This is the truth and boy does this quote ever sound like its come from some piece of history.

No, at the time I considered him the lesser of two evils. Now, I see him as not the lesser evil....and it has nothing to do with party affiliation.

    Alexz and everyone:

the truth is the truth. It's very easy to point a finger at one person or entity, however, it's Congress as a whole who is the master culprit.
It's a Constitutional matter. They were the ones that were meant to control the Executive. They did not and have not. And to make it worse, they've jerryrigged the Judiciary, who is now looking towards International Law as reference rather than interpreting the Constitution.

They've sold their souls to the devil and ALLOWED whoever was at the helm to steer our ship into the abyss. They are the very ones that could have and could now STOP this horror in it's tracks.

What are they doing now? DUMPING TONS OF LEGISLATION in the dark of night that will dismantle our borders! Please, take your eye off of bush and put it on the Congress~ they are in the middle of destroying us as we speak and you're not noticing it. That's what they want........to divert your attention! The dirty deads are in process, folks. We don't have time to bush bash or you'll be giving them exactly what they want and expect.

Each leader at the helm over many decades has passed the baton of destruction and the next took it and ran. But CONGRESS, now there's the real hornets nest of egomaniacs. They're the ones who have sold the American Constitution out for the chance to obtain more personal POWER.

I, too, am from Florida. I should have seen this coming.
I did not live here from 1967 to 1984, but when returning
especially in the mid-1990's ...I did start to notice a lot of
illegals bringing their children to the hospital for care. Since I am
in the caregiver type position, I did not see the "paperwork" part
of the medical business. In the last five years , I have seen it.

I was politically active in the '60's. It is not an excuse for we
Americans, but our culture changed and probably because of the
illegal invasion. We, women had to start working full time and
    be mothers and wives.
We had an abundance of work to do and I think we did not pay
attention, regrettably. I know, my life was nuts as all of yours
    was or still is.

Because I "lost" my job in a hospital to a Islamic taxi driver a couple
of years ago, I started really watching the news. I could not believe
I lost my job to a threatening Islamic cab driver who had to be
physically removed from the hospital...course, he threatened to come
back and "get me". Next day, I was asked to "retire".

I think we thought our leaders were supposed to be at the
"watch post" so to speak. And as the Constitution says, it is
their sworn duty to protect us. Of course, we now know they
all, for most part, are protecting big business.

I am not defending any of us for being asleep, just giving reasons
why we might have been snoozing.
