Immigration a Hot Topic in Texas
"We must enforce and, as necessary, tighten our immigration laws and secure our border-it is a matter of national security" - John Faulk

Americans For Legal Immigration PAC has endorsed John Faulk for Congress in the Texas 18th Congressional District. ALIPAC is a political action committee formed to stop the influx of illegal immigration into the United States.

ALIPAC says, "One of the major problems when it comes to illegal immigration or rightly worded illegal aliens is the refusal of our elected leadership in Washington DC to enforce current immigration laws."

According to ALIPAC's website Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) supports those who legally immigrate, but we does not support any amnesty, visa expansion, or "Guest Worker" program designed to reward illegal aliens or legalize their presence in the US.

ALIPAC says, "America is a land of generous and caring people, but our hospitality and values are being strained and abused by those who are willing to break the law and take our jobs and our tax dollars. America's illegal alien population will begin to shrink instead of grow if we support candidates that will reflect the will of the vast majority of American citizens."

ALIPAC offers a four point platform centered around one simple statement: "Simply enforce our existing immigration laws!"

    The Four Point Platform

    1. Secure Our Borders
    2. Crack down on employers that intentionally hire illegal aliens
    3. Remove incentives and rewards to illegals such as licenses, welfare, and other taxpayer benefits
    4. Enforce our existing laws and deport illegal aliens when convicted of crimes or detected during routine law enforcement activities

On the issue of illegal immigration John Faulk says, "I will fight to curtail illegal immigration and strengthen our border security. I will not allow amnesty to become a bargaining chip. Even the talk of amnesty encourages a whole new wave of illegal immigrants.

I'm glad ALIPAC has posted something on FAULK. My husband and I have been busy helping this campaign. We believe that this district can be reclaimed during the present climate and a large untapped source of independent voters moving into the district. Faulk has been consistent in his stance on the illegal alien problem.I am running a petition drive to bring E-Verify to City of Houston through a charter amendment and subsequent voter approval. I need people to help get the word out about Faulk and Stop the Magnet.
Please visit www.stopthemagnet.com and if join the registry if you are a City of Houston voter. If not forward this link to friends and family in Houston.
    Thanks.

THIS was on a second page of the link

"America has one of the most generous immigration policies in the world. It is unacceptable that we allow millions of people to sneak in the back door of our country when the front door is available. We have tried
amnesty and it does not work.

"We must enforce and, as necessary, tighten our immigration laws and secure our border-it is a matter of national security."

News from this past weekend punctuates Mr. Faulk's position that securing the U.S./Mexico border is a matter of national security. This past weekend bullets from a border gun battle in Ciudad Juarez struck a college campus in El Paso, Texas. This action prompted Texas Governor Rick Perry to renew his call for federal help in securing the border and highlights the need for representatives in Washington DC who support the cause of border security.

Governor Perry said, "We must ensure El Paso and other border communities remain a safe place for people to live, work and raise a family. It's time for Washington to stop the rhetoric and immediately deploy a significant force of personnel and resources to the border to protect our homeland."

John Faulk is running against incumbent Sheila Jackson Lee in the race for U.S. Representative from the Texas 18th Congressional District.
