WASHINGTON, June 10 (UPI) — As the U.S. Congress mulls the fate of illegal immigrants, the Bush administration is granting temporary protection for 312,00 Central Americans.
Temporary amnesty has been granted for the last decade to illegal immigrants from Honduras, Nicaragua and El Salvador because of devastating earthquakes and hurricanes there, the Washington Post reported Sunday.

Last month, the Department of Homeland Security said it would extend the amnesty because conditions in those countries have not improved enough for the immigrants to return home.

Collapsed bridges have been rebuilt and flattened crops replanted, but the economies of the three largely impoverished countries rely heavily on the nearly $10 billion sent from relatives working in the United States, the Post reported.

That loss of income combined with the return of several hundred thousand jobless and homeless immigrants would further devastate the countries, their diplomats told the Post.

Dear President Bush:

End the amnesty for the 312,000 Central Americans who have been here for the last 10 years. It is time for their own countries to take responsibility for their citizens. Have their governments reimbursed the United States for our expenditures to care for them while here? The free ride from the American taxpayer is over!!! Granting an extension to this amnesty program has not received congressional approval nor has it been put forth to the American people for review. This is intent to circumvent our law and you will be held accountable. Tell your talking puppet, Chertoff, to cease and desist.

Bush supports central and latin americans more than he does americans. He doesn't care about americans which he is destroying and bankrupting. Bush is a traitor to america. He would rather gangs of illegals in america than in their own country. He wants our border agents to work in Iraq instead of guarding our borders.
