I have to agree with Obama on this one.
The anti-immigrant crowd is a stain
on the backside of civil discourse.
Now, the anti-illegal alien crowd are true patriots!

Well, I'll have to partially disagree here. When Obama is talking about "anti-immigrant" stances, he's referring to Americans who want to stop illegal immigration, deport illegal aliens in accordance with US immigration law, and pause, stop or otherwise place a Moratorium on All New Immigration for a spell, I think at least 10 years, to give US time to fix the problems and reset the system in a manner that works, and by that I mean a manner that does not steal jobs from Americans, nor deflate our wages, and ends publicly and privately funded welfare programs to immigrants who can't sustain themselves here because we don't have enough money, jobs or opportunities for them and our own citizens, plus the legal immigrants who are already here.
That means he's calling most Americans "anti-immigrant" because most Americans are fed up with this massive immigration, legal and illegal, as Americans stand in lines for jobs that don't exist, and hold jobs that don't pay enough to sustain them, and as we watch the debt paying for it rise and rise with the tidal wave of people coming in.
Americans didn't cause this problem. Illegal aliens, amnesties, and excessive green cards and visas being handed out to people in other countries caused this. Americans are now in the position of having to solve it. And, it's not going to be pretty. So Obama is wrong on this issue, Congress has been wrong on this issue, most political candidates have been wrong on this issue, most churches and not for profits have been wrong on this issue, and why not? They make money from being wrong on this issue. So, sadly, Americans are going to have to be the ones to stop this madness and end this travesty.
How do we do stop it? By speaking out, by throwing the crooks, thieves, liars and traitors out of office and doing and saying everything possible to elect people who will help US fix this disaster. It can't be done in a pretty fashion. The words have to be simple and direct and they are: "get out", "stay out", "no more" and so forth. Those are the only words in our language that deliver the simple messages necessary to fix this mess. It's a very unfortunate situation, but I don't see any other means to the end.Last edited by Judy; 09-15-2015 at 11:33 AM.

The key element is a limitation on all foreigners who are allowed to reside within our borders, temporarily or permanent, that is neither cruel nor racist; it is reality; it is the very definition of a country. There are 7 billion people in the world; most would prefer to live here. We can not survive as a viable nation and allow everyone to live here just because they want to.
Not just illegal immigration but also legal immigration without limits is a nullification of national sovereignty. There is no human right to live in the United States simply because somebody wants to live here. And the automatic acceptance of all foreigners wanting “refugee” statusis also a rejection of national sovereignty. Compassion can not be limitless. If you do not limit the number of people into a life boat it will be overwhelmed and sink and everyone will drown.
Currently the US allows over one million foreigners to live legally within its borders EVERY YEAR. How many is enough?Last edited by csarbww; 09-15-2015 at 02:30 PM.

You mean over one million more foreigners every year. Every ten years, the numbers add up to almost 14,000,000 of new green card and visa holders, who never leave, and 72% of them breed and sign up for welfare. In addition to those, we have even more illegal aliens who come in every year, who never leave, and 87% of them breed and sign up for welfare. So, that's a clear road to failure. That's losing, not winning.
