Anti-Trump protesters rallying in San Francisco Saturday

An anti-Trump protest will be taking place in San Francisco Saturday, potentially drawing thousands to the streets to rally against the November election results.

“San Francisco Marches is a grass-roots organization dedicated to empowering everyday voices,” states the Facebook page for the event. “We’re sponsoring a march by citizens, for citizens. It’s an opportunity for ordinary people to voice their outrage to the dangers the proposed Trump administration poses to progress this country has made over the last 10 years – from climate change to racial diversity to women’s rights.”

Protesters will gather at Harry Bridges Plaza in front of the Ferry Building at 2 p.m. and march to Civic Center Plaza at 3 p.m.

Over 1,200 people have RSVP’d on Facebook that they’ll be attending, with 7,000 “interested.” However a wet weather forecast may reduce these numbers.
San Francisco will also see crowds gather for SantaCon on Saturday. The two events combined may cause traffic delays in downtown San Francisco.
