I agree with Brewer. That is why they run the border and drop the babies in San Diego - they want the "anchor" so that if they get deported for being illegal they can say - but my kid is American.
We need to change this law and fast. Europe got rid of "instant citizenship" years ago.
Rep. Nathan Deal Reintroduces Bill to End Birthright Citizenship
Monday, May 18, 2009, 5:13 PM EDT - posted on NumbersUSA
Rep. Nathan Deal (R-GA) reintroduced his Birthright Citizenship bill that would eliminate automatic citizenship for children born in the United States. The Birthright Citizenship Act of 2009 (H.R.186 would amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to make it more difficult for children born in the U.S. to gain citizenship.
Under the proposed legislation, a person born in the United States, in order to gain citizenship, must have at least one parent who is:
•a U.S. citizen or national;
•a lawful permanent resident alien whose residence is in the United States; or
•an alien performing active service in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Rep. Deal's bill has 40 original cosponsors.
The Birthright Citizenship Act of 2009 is one of five bills that are endorsed by NumbersUSA. To see a list of these bills and their current sponsors, see the grid on the proposed bills page.

Parents are responsible for any kids they have. If they get deported they should have to take the kids with them. Furthermore, lets put an end to the ability of anchors to sponsor their parents when they become adults.

Absolutely agree. And furthermore, repeal the rights of those anchor babies going back decades - send them and their families back. Maybe then they will stop scorning us and our laws. They are the ones who dish out the scorn - constantly. That is because it is a useful tool to keep them from being at each other's throats - to hate gringos - to hate US citizens.

On so many levels, ending anchor baby citizenship will do much to restore our country. Fewer illegals will come, illegals already here will start to self deport, and taxpayers will save billions. Do it now!
