$4.1 million worth of pot seized in 3 Arizona incidents

TUCSON - Border Patrol agents seized more than 5,200 pounds of marijuana in three separate incidents across Southern Arizona over the long holiday weekend. The pot has an estimated street worth of approximately $4.1 million.

Agents stopped a semi-truck Friday night near Willcox and discovered 100 cellophane-wrapped bundles of marijuana weighing 2,300 pounds and worth $1.9 million.

Casa Grande-based agents recovered 12 bundles of marijuana worth $474,000 after tracking 10 suspected illegal immigrants Sunday night.

Agents assigned to the Ajo Station recovered 128 bundles of marijuana Monday night weighing 2,250 pounds with an estimated value of $1.8 million.
