Consider this paradox. With one hand, the Arizona Legislature requires anyone questioned by a state or local police officer to be able to prove he or she is in the country legally. With the other, it is now considering making it impossible for one group of citizens – the U.S.-born children of illegal immigrants – to obtain the documents to prove it.

This fall, Arizona legislators are expected to debate a bill that would deny birth certificates to the so-called “anchor babiesâ€

Fine. we’re comfortable with that.

no we're not ... first their parents come here illegal , steal our jobs , drain our system , then they give birth to a new generation that's going to do the exact same thing ? no thank you ... leave and take your children with you ... come here legal like everyone else ...

We might get the birthright citizenship law changed to prevent the children of illegal aliens from getting automatic citizenship in the future but no court in the country will ever allow it to be retroactive.

So good to know that Senator Russell Pearce and others in Arizona are forcing this issue. Birthright Citizenship to the children of illegal aliens is a free ride in the United States for all. How we even permit this magnet to millions around the world, when it costs us billions in services and freebies.

I also think that these so-called citizens born to illegals should be stripped of their citizenship status. But I doubt if that will hold up in court.
