Perry: Arizona immigration law not right for Texas
APRIL CASTRO

AUSTIN — Arizona's tough new illegal immigration enforcement law would not be right for Texas, Gov. Rick Perry said on Thursday, upholding the state's long-held tradition of rejecting harsh anti-immigrant policies.
The Arizona law will require local and state law enforcement officers to question people about their immigration status if there's reason to suspect they're in the country illegally, making it a crime for them to lack registration documents. The law also makes it a state crime to be in the U.S. illegally.

A Secure America is All Our Responsibility. And that is what we DEMAND!
Just who do these political hacks think they work for?
Secure the damn border and strict ENFORCEMENT OF IMMIGRATION LAWS! Does it take a rocket scientist?
Arizona law mirrors Federal Law Senor Perry. Sure I have all the faith in the world (NONE) with you!

Tough illegal immigration foe set to endorse Perry

Washington (CNN) - An Arizona sheriff who has gained a national reputation for his tough stance against illegal immigrants is set to endorse Texas Governor Rick Perry Tuesday in New Hampshire, Perry's campaign confirmed.
Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, whose tactics have caused controversy and spurred civil rights lawsuits, will give his nod to Perry in a Tuesday morning event. Arpaio will also campaign with Perry at several events throughout the state.
"Sheriff Arpaio knows Gov. Perry's strong criminal justice and border security record and plans for more federal troops, fencing and surveillance technology to secure our southern border," Perry campaign communications director Ray Sullivan told CNN.
Perry's camp hopes the endorsement will help buttress him against charges he doesn't have a strong enough record against illegal immigration.
As Texas governor, Perry said he worked to stop the flow of illegal immigrants but questioned the wisdom of a border fence. He also supported in-state college tuition for the children of illegal immigrants, arguing they should not be penalized.

I wonder if Arpaio would be willing to support other types of amnesty? How about givng everyone who got a ticket in the last twenty-five years their money back? Or what about just parking tickets? Why does he support amnesty just for illegals?
