Arpaio plans another illegal immigration, crime sweep
Arpaio plans another illegal immigration, crime sweep
August 6th, 2008 @ 4:06pm
by Jon Zimney/KTAR
News/Talk 92.3 KTAR has learned 100 posse members and sheriff's deputies will hit the street within the next seven days for another major illegal immigration and crime sweep.
The sheriff recently told KTAR he'd soon be back in Mesa and Phoenix.
"This is a big county, we're gonna keep moving around the county," Arpaio said. "I might go back to Phoenix, you can let the mayor know that. I'm telling the mayor know right now, so I don't have to give him notice."
Wednesday's announcement comes on the heels of a Rocky Mountain poll showing a 10-point drop in approval for Arpaio, but still a double-digit lead in front of his in challenger, Dan Saban.

I wish Arpaio would announce his candidacy for president. He will get my full and unconditional support. And I am sure there are many posse members and Border Patrol officers who wouldn't mind the vice presidency.
