Tucson, Ariz. - A U.S. Customs and Border Protection Border Patrol agent from the Tucson Sector Sonoita Border Patrol Station seized 2,773 pounds of marijuana on July 22, worth more than $1.3 million, after smugglers abandoned their load.A Border Patrol agent attempted to stop a suspicious truck traveling on Forest Service Road 49 when the driver and passenger abandoned their vehicle containing 483 bundles of marijuana in the truck's cab and bed, which was covered with plywood.
