Sterling, Va. - Some people learn from experience. Others don't. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at Washington Dulles International Airport encountered the latter type of passenger after seizing $11,258 Thursday from a two-time currency reporting regulations violator. (more)

Sterling, Va. - After nearly a three-week break, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers recorded another cocaine seizure from parcels that a Guatemalan courier brought to Washington Dulles International Airport Thursday night.CBP officers discovered the cocaine concealed inside five large belt-like items. CBP Officers Intercept Marijuana Smuggling Attempt

Douglas, Ariz. - A Douglas man was arrested October 17, for attempting to smuggle nearly $119,000 worth of marijuana through the Douglas port of entry. The 18-year-old was escorted to an inspection area after a narcotic detection canine alerted to his Chevrolet sedan. (more)
Meth Smuggler Stopped by CBP Officers

San Luis, Ariz. - A 20-year-old male from Gadsden, Ariz., was taken into custody on October 17, for attempting to smuggle $344,000 worth of methamphetamine into the United States. Customs and Border Protection officers referred Gilberto Mejia for additional inspection of his Buick sedan. (more)

Nogales CBP Officers Seize Approximately $229,000 in Unreported Cash, Suspect Arrested

Nogales, Ariz. - A 52-year-old male Mexican national was arrested Thursday for allegedly attempting to smuggle $229,838 in unreported U.S. currency into Mexico through the Dennis DeConcini Port. Officers conducting outbound inspections Thursday selected a vehicle driven by Roberto Federico-Martinez for a secondary inspection and found 21 packages of unreported currency hidden in the gas tank.
