SALTON CITY, Calif. - Border Patrol agents busted a vehicle containing $90,000 in meth concealed inside a fire extinguishing Tuesday.

El Centro Border Patrol agents assigned to the Indio station discovered the meth at the Highway 86 checkpoint, between Westmorland and Salton City, Calif.

A drug-sniffing canine alerted to the 2001 Toyota Camry. The fire extinguisher containing 3 pounds of meth was located in the trunk during the secondary inspection.

The driver, a 42-year-old Unites States citizen, was turned over to the DEA for processing.
