BOSTON -- A 32-year-old Salvadoran national, found living in Framingham after being previously deported for committing an aggravated felony, is scheduled to be brought before a U.S. Magistrate next month to plead guilty to a charge of illegal reentry of an illegal alien and aggravated assault.
According to court files, Jose Ricardo Zetino-Flores, formerly of 11B Pratt St., Framingham, will appear at an Aug. 8 plea hearing. Zetino-Flores was indicted five months earlier, pleaded not guilty at his March 8 arraignment and agreed to voluntary detention pending the outcome of his case.
The indictment alleged that on Feb. 13, Zetino-Flores was found in Shrewsbury after his previous deportation and having illegally re-entered the United States without having obtained permission to re-enter. He was arrested in Shrewsbury after allegedly committing another felony of aggravated assault.
If convicted of both counts, the defendant could face a prison term of up to 20 years imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine. He also faces probable deportation upon completion of his prison term.
