SAN LUIS, Ariz. (AP) - Border agents conducting inspections at a western Arizona checkpoint arrested three suspects attempting to smuggle drugs in separate incidents this week.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials say agents in San Luis found narcotics hidden on the bodies of 3 people attempting to enter Arizona.

Agents say a man riding a bicycle Tuesday taped a pound of marijuana to his midsection.

In another incident Tuesday, agents found three pounds of heroin concealed inside a 17-year-old's shoes.

On Thursday, agents patrolling a vehicle lane discovered 33 pounds of marijuana in a car driven by a 60-year-old man.

Agents also discovered a Mexican citizen attempting to use someone else's U.S. passport to enter the country Thursday.

Authorities say the suspects were taken into custody.
