During processing, agents learned that Mejia has multiple felony convictions, to include lewd or lascivious acts with a minor in 2010 in Los Angeles, and prior deportations; the most recent occurring in 2014.

Mejia is being charged for felony immigration charges for re-entering the United States following deportation.
