If the Border Patrol comes under attack then they should be able to shoot the attackers. It doesnt matter if they are throwing only rocks. How does BP know that one of those rocks is not a grenade or other explosive? Furthermore, the people throwing the rocks could have other weapons besides rocks.

FBI investigates shooting of 2 by border agents

    by Dennis Wagner - Jun. 8, 2010 12:00 AM
    The Arizona Republic

The FBI is investigating a Saturday incident in which two suspected drug smugglers were wounded after they allegedly threw rocks at a pair of Border Patrol agents.

Manuel Johnson, an FBI spokesman, said the violence occurred about 1:30 p.m. on the Tohono O'odham Indian Reservation about 40 miles west of Nogales, Ariz. He said border agents intercepted two men who were hauling backpacks containing drugs. The agents opened fire after the suspects hurled rocks at them.

"We're looking at this as an assault-on-federal-officers investigation," Johnson said.

The wounded men, whose names were not released, were transported to a Tucson hospital. Johnson said he was told neither suffered life-threatening injuries.

He did not reveal the names of the Border Patrol agents, or details about the altercation.

Well this seems to be encouraging, in so far as our side is concerned. They didn't say they were looking at this as an assault on illegal invaders. Hopefully, the illegal invaders are the ones indicted!

This amounts to an illegal invasion , they assaulted our agents...and transported illegal substances (drugs) into our Country. What part of this is not against our laws???? They should have been shot and killed....
