AZ-Car dealer blames employer sanctions law for closure
Car dealer blames employer sanctions law for closure
September 15th, 2008 @ 5:00pm
by Bob McClay/KTAR
A Scottsdale Chevrolet dealer says Arizona's employer sanctions law played a role in his decision to close his dealership.
Bill Heard, Jr. told the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer that his business dropped 60 to 70 percent after the law was enacted because "they kicked all of the Hispanics out of Arizona."
Scott Gruwell, a sales manager at another Chevy dealership, says the truth is that Bill Heard Chevrolet had lots of other problems.
"From my understanding, they had trouble getting financing on their vehicles - their new inventory - and that was one of the reasons for them shutting down then."
Gruwell admits that car dealers may be feeling the affects of the number of Hispanics who have left the state because of employer sanctions.
But he says dealers face other problems precipitated by "the recent housing market, credit crunch, fuel prices."

Thank goodness for people like Mr. Gruwell who TELL THE TRUTH!!!
Heard is just one of many car dealers who was making a tidy sum specializing in the "hard to finance", "underserved"....or whatever else they choose to call illegal alien consumers......market.
And they can hardly blame their troubles on the employer sanction law. Their business took a hit once we voted to remove access to public benefits to IAs, they have lost untold millions financing to people who then abscond with the vehicles never making a single payment, and as Mr. Gurwell pointed out, there are other economic factors at play as well.
Personally, I could care less about any difficulties those profiting from illegals might be suffering. They made their beds...........Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Everyone is having trouble getting financing because the banks have cut back on all their loans in this troubled economy.
