Flagstaff police arrested a man Sunday after he ran over his neighbor's fence, drove off and then passed out parked in his driveway nearby on the 1500 block of South Yale Street.

According to a police report, the man is now being held on a U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement hold because he is suspected of being in the country illegally. A woman reported to police that her fence had been partially smashed by a Hispanic man driving a Chevrolet Blazer at about 2 p.m. The SUV drove off and then circled back through an alley, but the woman was not able to get the license plate number. It wasn't necessary though because the Blazer was parked only a few houses away. The man was asleep in the driver's seat with the car still running and one hand on his iPod. Empty cans of Modelo beer were on the floorboards. The man had a Mexican driver's license, but no proof of insurance or registration. He said he had been in the United States for 20 years. He also had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on a previous DUI.
