TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A member of the Tohono O'odham Nation has been sentenced to more than three years in prison for operating an illegal immigrant stash house.

Federal prosecutors say 36-year-old Darrell Lee Miguel was given a 37-month sentence plus three years of supervised release after his prison term.

Miguel pleaded guilty in March to conspiracy to transport illegal immigrants. Authorities say Miguel and his family housed illegal immigrants in their home on the tribal nation until they could be transported to Tucson or Phoenix.

Prosecutors say Miguel's operation is believed to have begun in 2002.
